BIOS and UEFI settings play an important role in today's systems management. Often times, new systems are built and go out the door without any changes or modifications to the default settings. In fact, if a model is deployed over a period of time then chances are there will be several different BIOS/UEFI versions floating around in the environment for the same model. Rarely do system administrators update the BIOS/UEFI after a system has been deployed.

Today, it is not only important to create a BIOS/UEFI standard for each supported hardware model but it is something that should be mandatory. Otherwise, new security features in Window 10 may not be possible without doing an expensive full wipe and load of the operating system.

In this session, you will learn how to report on and monitor using System Center Configuration Manager the BIOS/UEFI settings for each of the three major PC vendors: Dell, Lenovo and HP. We will show you which settings are important as it relates to the new Windows 10 security features and how to automatically set them using the right tools. This session with be packed with demos and provide you with the information you need in order to better manage the systems in your environment.
